Being a teenager is difficult and sometimes the adults around you forget what it was like to grow up, especially now that you’re in a tech-based world. Your family may forget that your life is different than theirs. People don’t “get” you. You likely feel judged and feel different than your friends, you may be distracted by thoughts and feel overwhelmed and unsure about who you can turn for support. In my office, it’s okay to feel different every day or try on everything. You don’t have to fit someone’s idea of who you are or what you’re “supposed to be.” We will work together to decide who you want to be as an individual without any of the pressures from friends or family.
